Last glimpse of the flower beds at the Benedictine Monastery at Saint Thierry this morning before walking off to Reims.
Nice tulip colours but not quite colour coordinated with the cycling vest!!
Our path quickly deteriorated from a minor road to a farmers track from Saint Thierry to Reims.
Looking back we can see the Monastery from where we’ve walked this morning.
We’ve reached the Canal leading us into Reims.
In years gone by the Canal provided much essential barge transport for industry and agriculture near here. Now very little industry remains and almost no barge transport exists.
We saw one remaining barge moored nearby these very large industrial sheds on the canals edge and assume by its condition it is still used occasionally.
Duck heaven – alongside the Canal.
Magnificent pink blooms on street trees in Reims.
Reims Cathedral undergoing regular cleaning.
The Chagall windows at Reims Cathedral.
Other stained glass windows from the Cathedral.
Interior of the Reims Cathedral.
Reims Cathedral in all its finest glory!!!
